Colin and I, along with, Amber and Chris were able to have my parents watch the kiddos while we went to dinner and a dance.. We went to Texas Roadhouse and then my stake put on a Sweethearts dance.. It was a lot of fun to dance with the hubby and learn some of the current line dances..

Halloween

For Halloween this year, we went to Colin's brother's house. Chris and Julie threw a great party and the kids loved going trick or treating in the neighborhood.. It was fun, good food..

Three days before tonight, Kylee was at the Dr with a double ear infection and the start of pneumonia.. So, she had her upset moments, but over all had a great night..

Kylee started dance class and LOVES it.. It mixes ballet with tap.. She is having fun with it.

Colin's dad passed away on Tuesday, April 6th in his sleep. He was 65 yrs old. We went to Utah and were there for a week spending time with his mom and brothers. It was a beautiful service, here are a few pictures.

Kylee went to the Dr today to be weighed because at her previous appointments, her weight has been low. Well at 21 months she is 22 1/2 pounds, 10 percentile.. She is getting there slowly but surely.. These pictures were taken last month in her Christmas dress Colin's parents got for her.

Colin's brother, Murray, passed away in Nov 2007 and while we were in Utah we found his headstone under the snow and placed flowers. This is the first time we were able to see the headstone, due to just being placed.. Colin bought him a hot rod firetruck too.. It turned out very nice.

Just an update from the Hunt's.. We hope you all had a great holiday.. We had wonderful times visiting family here in Arizona and in Utah. I took photos on my new cell phone, but... I had to order the adapter to connect the phone to the computer and it has not arrived yet. When it does, I will post them.. We are grateful to have a wonderful family and very blessed to have our Kylee. We will post pictures very soon.

Today is my beautiful daughter's first birthday. Words cannot describe the joy my husband and I have felt the last year. We never imagined being parents.. Heavenly Father has blessed us with a perfect girl. Sitting here watching her play with her toys, wondering what she is constantly thinking, I am touched with the amount of love I have for her. She is mine, I feel as though I, myself, gave birth to her. She was meant to be with us, and because of our Savior she is ours for time and all eternity.. Happy Birthday Princess Kylee Rae, Mommy and Daddy love you very much!! Thank you for choosing us to be your parents.

IT'S OFFICIAL!!!!

On Saturday November 15th we had the finalization and sealing of Kylee. It was a wonderful day we will never forget. Here are a few pics from my dad's camera, we just moved so I don't have mine downloaded yet. I will post more when I get them.

We were in courtroom three and so he took one with her showing that. She was such a good baby all day.
This was the judge that finalized our adoption. She wanted to hold Kylee when it was done and she was awesome. My dad made sure to get the time in the picture.

These were taken just outside the temple after we were sealed for time and all eternity. My parents joined us in one of the photos. Throughout the sealing, Kylee, had the hiccups. It was hilarious and helped to make a memorable impression on us and everyone there. We will never forget this day. They would not let us take pics outside in her dress or our white clothes, so we will have them done separately and will post them soon. She will be blessed in January. I am grateful to my Heavenly Father for blessing our little family.

Because we are flying to Utah Halloween night, we dressed Kylee up for my parents ward trunk or treat. She is getting so big, she is now 6 months old!!

Finalization and Sealing...

So Colin and I got the letter from the County Attorney yesterday, and we are scheduled to finalize the adoption of our beautiful little girl, Kylee. We also called the Temple and scheduled the sealing for the same day. This will all occur on Saturday November 15th. That day is the national adoption day so it will be a huge celebration at the downtown court house. We are sworn under oath and legally made her parents. Our names will be placed as birth mom and dad on her birth certificate and it will be as if we created her. We love her so much and can not imagine our lives without her.. Then to have her sealed later that day for time and all eternity... The gratitude we feel for our Heavenly Father and our Savior to have the blessing of being sealed as a family not only for here on this earth, but for all eternity. Our hearts are so full of love, words enough cannot express how happy we are... We will also have the opportunity to bless her and have her name place on the records of the church... We are so lucky to have been blessed with so many blessings.
We want to thank our family and friends for all the support during this time, and we will post pictures as soon as we can.

Kylee just turned 4 months and the Dr said we could try her on baby cereal. Very fun... She does not like the texture and so we had a rough first time. It will just take some getting used to.

So we got Kylee this chair called a Bumbo and she loves it. I think it makes her feel big. The morning we were getting ready to go camping, I got her dressed and put her in it and she fell asleep. It reminded me a lot of my Grandpa Wallace because he would always do that too.

Today my mom, Amber, and my nieces took Kylee to get her ears pierced. She is very lucky because her birthstone is diamond. She only cried for a few seconds. It was harder on me than on her. She looks so cute with them.

This was taken Tuesday the 24th at Kylee's 2 month Dr's appt. She had to get her first shots. I was very sad, but she was very brave. Only cried a little.. She now weighs 10lbs 5oz and is 21 inches long. She is in the 30% for her weight and only 8% on her height. She is a healthy little girl and growing very fast!!!

This past weekend we took Kylee on her first plane ride, she did wonderful. We went to Salt Lake City to see the Hunt family and introduce them to Kylee. Of course, the all loved her. So my sister, Amber, babysits Kylee during the day while I am at work. She is only there for a few hours and it works out really well... Anyway, last night I went to Costco and bought Kylee the cutest little outfit and sent her wearing it today. I get a call from Amber and she says that Kylee has blown out of her diaper (poop) and it was all over her outfit and Amber's clothes. She is on soy formula and when she goes, it stinks very badly. That is the first time she has done that. Thank goodness Amber has a washing machine, she undressed her and put her in one of my 2yr old niece, Hayley, shirts, and it was too big. Amber sent me this pic on my cell, it is so cute. Good thing Amber could just laugh it off. This was her first official blow out. Just thought it was funny!!

We are Colin and Ginger Hunt. We were married on May 13, 1995 in the Mesa Arizona Temple. We met in Salt Lake City, Utah in 1994 at a singles ward. Colin was dating my room mate and things didn't work out with them. We started dating and have been together since. We were living in Salt Lake City for about 1 1/2 years, we then moved to Mesa, Arizona and have been here for about 12 years. We tried for many years, almost 13 years, to have our own child but were unsuccessful. We are very proud to announce the birth of our adopted daughter, Kylee Rae, who was born on April 24, 2008. We are so happy and excited. We will be able to have her blessed and sealed to us when the adoption is finalized. It should be about November of this year, since it only takes about 6 months to finalize.

Colin works for the airlines and I work as an office manager/assistant in a dental office. We live in the East Valley.

We are very excited to have this blog to share pictures and stories of our lives with the people we care about.
